Harlequin is awarded the 'Prizewinner' Trophy at N.Ireland Quality Awards
Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 05:41AM The biggest prize winner at the Northern Ireland Quality Awards was Clarehill Plastics Limited, which this year celebrates its 30th year in the industry. The award ceremony took place at the Ramada hotel in Belfast, organised in association with invest Northern Ireland. The Northern Ireland Quality Awards scheme is organised and managed by the Centre for Competitiveness and sponsored by Department of Finance and Personnel, ESB, Northgate Information Solutions, Hewlett Packard and Forward Emphasis.
Clarehill was but one of 16 companies who received recognition at the award ceremony for their contributions and achievements in the industry. A total four companies shared the top award: St Patrick’s College Maghera and Slemish College for Excellence in Education programme and Diageo Baileys Global Supply and Munster Simms Engineering for achievements in international competiveness and business excellence.
Clarehill, who, have experienced a 10% improvement on the previous year’s assessment score, won the ‘Prize-winner’ award alongside St. Cecilia’s College and Christ the Redeemer Primary School.
The company has managed to maintain its responsibility, reputation and dedication to provide quality and innovative products to the marketplace, through becoming the market leading manufacturer of oil storage products under the Harlequin brand.
According to a recent report “the Prize-winner Trophy is the second award to be won by the Co. Armagh based oil tank manufacturer in recent months. In October, Harlequin picked up the Website of the Year Trophy supported by A&D Publishing, at the OFTEC Awards for Excellence in the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.”
Clarehill Plastics was awarded for its outstanding progress on the path of business excellence.
